Livebearer fry are easy prey in a community tank, and an aquarium breeder box gives them a separate clear space while staying in the same water. Two suction cups hold it against the glass, and a V-shaped divider lets newborn fry drop through to the lower chamber away from the adult. Our photos show guppies, shrimp and a betta setup, in a small 8.5 cm or a large 10.5 cm box. It is part of our Pet Supplies collection.

Frequently asked questions
How long can a fish stay in an aquarium breeder box?
An aquarium breeder box suits short stays only. Long periods in a small box can stress a fish, so release the adult after breeding and move fry out as they grow.
Will the suction cups hold the breeder box on thick glass?
The suction cups hold the breeder box firmly on clean, flat glass with water on both sides of the seal. Press them firmly and check daily, because an unstuck box can trap or injure fish.
Can small fish escape through the breeder box slots?
Very small fry can pass through the slots of the breeder box, and the maker gives no slot size. Watch them for the first days, and keep the water level below the top edge.
